We quickly succeeded in the practical application and mass production of injection molding, which had been considered difficult due to flowability issues in existing wood plastics. ■Founded in 1946, produced in our own high-quality factories in Japan, MIRAIWOOD is a plant-based environmental material originating from Japan. MIRAIWOOD is a product of Rikka Sangyo Co., Ltd., which has a wealth of production experience. It is produced consistently in our own domestic factories and partner factories.

To preserve our society for the long term, we have developed sustainable environmental materials from discarded waste wood. In addition to upcycling waste materials, these sustainable materials can also be recycled. In the future, we will work on creating a system for collection and recycling. Benefits of Upcycling: 1. Reduces petroleum plastics By replacing petroleum components with biomass materials, we have achieved a reduction of over 70% in petroleum components (compared to the same weight of plastic, calculated by specific gravity). We have achieved a high biomass content of 73.3% with standard specifications. Stable, high-quality injection molding is also possible. 85% of the volume is wood powder, and we have achieved over 73.3% biomass (plant-derived) content by specific gravity. We have also obtained official biomass 70 certification. Efforts to reduce costs: Unfortunately, compared to petroleum plastics that are produced and consumed in large quantities, the current manufacturing costs are very high. There are opinions that continuing to use resources dependent on overseas supply offers better cost performance.
